About 30% of campus is involved with Greek life. All the Greek Life organizations on campus are philanthropy-based. So all six sororities and fraternities are raising money year round for their specific philanthropy. And we also have an academic Greek Life organizations. So like honor societies that have Greek letters to them.
There's a lot of social fraternities here at Stetson, but I'm actually part of the business one, which is kind of random being a marine biology major, but business is incorporated into everything. So I'm a part of Alpha Kappa Psi, to become a better business leader in the real world. For me, being a part of Greek life is really about sisterhood and being a leader.
As a sophomore, I am in two leadership positions. In Zeta Tau Alpha, I'm the sunshine chairman, and I'm the director of activities, which has been a super fun and amazing experience for me. The experience of being part of a Greek organization-- I can say that I have found a place that I have very supportive and empowering women. Having that friendship and having a place that you can call home. A place that you can create family is a great part of Greek life.
